Grant Writer
Fostoria Economic Development Corporation/ City of Fostoria
 
The Fostoria Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the City of Fostoria are searching for a Grant Writer.  The Grant Writer will take a proactive approach to seeking funding opportunities for the community of Fostoria through government resources, corporate private giving programs, private foundations, and any other sources for which the community may qualify.  The Grant Writer will work through the FEDC office in cooperation with the City and various local departments and organizations to help secure financial funding for the community.

DUTIES:
  • Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals
  • Comply with all grant reporting as required
  • Maintain current records, including grant tracking and reporting
  • Attend meetings as necessary
  • Prepare and present monthly summary of activities for the Executive Boards review and also to the Board of Trustees
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with grant writing (if possible)
  • Experience working in deadline-driven environments
  • Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • 32 hours/week, flexible hours
  • Minimal Travel may be necessary
  • Some opportunity to work from home
  • $36,000/year salary
