What courses are recommended to learn to write grants?

To write proposals competitively, we recommend the following 2-course series for beginning or intermediate grant writers:
  • The "Intro to Grant Writing and Researching" Online Course 
  • The "Program Development and Proposal Writing" Online Course or 4-day Workshop
​After completing both courses, the grant writer should be able to competitively write letters and proposals for Foundation and Corporate Grants, as well as grant applications for Government Grants. These courses are recommended for employees at Nonprofit Organizations and Private Universities. Employees at Government Agencies that have a related Nonprofit or Foundation that supports the government entity, will also benefit from these courses.

What is recommended to write government grants only?

What is recommended to write government grants only?

We recommend the "Grant Writing for Government Grants" 3-day workshop to learn how to research grant opportunities, learn regulations, and how to write a competitive grant application for a project grant.  This course is appropriate for employees at Government Agencies, State Colleges or Universities, Public School Districts, Public Libraries, Native Tribes, or For Profit Businesses.  Research grants are not discussed in this workshop.

We offer 2 options for experienced grant writers who want to learn about starting a Grant Consulting Business.  The first option is the "Grant Consulting Online Course" and the second option is the "Grant Consulting" 2-hour Workshop.  A template for a client contract is provided as well as several Tools of the Trade.  Both options are $249 per person.

What if I want to learn to Manage a Grant?

We offer the "Grant Managerment Online Course".  This course is appropriate for employees of local government, school districts, nonprofit organizations, and higher education.  The course provides instruction on managing grant funds from Federal Grants as well as Foundation Grants.  The course is $499 per person.
