Refund Policy Effective April 1, 2011

All requests for refunds or reschedudling must be received in writing, be e-mail or mail.

Online CGW Package -- This package may be cancelled if cancellation is received in writing (by mail or email) prior to the first course materials and assignments being emailed to the purchaser for a $50.00 cancellation fee. No refund will be given for coursework not completed. A $200 refund is applicable if the student elects not to take the in-person review course and CGW Exam and provides written notice 30 days prior to the scheduled review course date. Applicable refunds will be processed within 5 business days.

Online Grant Researching and Proposal Writing Course. This course may be cancelled if cancellation is received in writing (by mail or email) prior to the first course materials and assignments being emailed to the purchaser for a $50 cancellation fee. No refund is given for coursework not completed. Applicable refunds will be processed within 5 business days.

Online Intro to Grant Writing Course. This course may be cancelled if cancellation is received in writing (by mail or e-mail) prior to the first course materials and assignments being e-mailed to the purchaser for a $50 cancellation fee. No refund is given for coursework not completed. Applicable refunds will be processed within 5 business days.

Annual Conference Registration Fees -- Registration Fees will be refunded in full minus a $25 cancellation fee if cancelled 11 business days or more prior to the first day of the Annual Conference. No refund will be given if cancellation is received 10 business days or less prior to the Annual Conference. Cancellation Notice should be in writing by e-mail or letter. Applicable refunds will be processed within 5 business days.

Refund Policy for In-Person Workshops: 1-day CGW Review, 1-day Grant Consulting Workshop, 4-day Grant Researching and Proposal Writing Workshop, 6-day CGW Package. These in-person courses will be refunded in full (minus a $50 handling fee) if cancelled 11 or more business days prior to the first day of the workshop. A partial refund of 60% will be given for cancellation in writing for any reason received 6 to 10 business days prior to the first day of the workshop. No refund is available is cancellation notice is given for any reason when received 5 or fewer business days prior to the first day of the workshop. A "no show" for any workshop will be not be eligible for any refund. Applicable refunds will be processed within 5 business days after written notice is received.

Refund Policy for "Rescheduled In-Person Workshops" The refund policy for the original workshop carries forward to the rescheduled workshop.

• If an orginally scheduled workshop is rescheduled 11 or more business days prior to the workshop then
  * the rescheduled workshop is eligible for a full refund minus $50.00 handling fee if cancelled more 11 or more business days prior to the first day of the rescheduled workshop.
  * the rescheduled workshop is eligible for a 60% refund if written cancellation notice is received 6-10 business days prior to the first day of the rescheduled workshop,
  * the rescheduled workshop is eligible for NO refund if written cancellation notice is received 5 or fewer business days prior to the first day of the rescheduled workshop.
• If an orginally scheduled workshop is rescheduled 6-10 business days prior to the workshop then
  * the rescheduled workshop is eligible for a 60% refund if written cancellation notice is received 10 or more business days prior to the first day of the rescheduled workshop,
  * the rescheduled workshop is eligible for NO refund if written cancellation notice is received 5 or fewer business days prior to the first day of the rescheduled workshop.
• If an originally scheduled workshop is rescheduled 5 or fewer business days prior to the original workshop workshop, during the original workshop, or after the original workshop then
  * the rescheduled workshop is eligible for NO refund if written cancellation notice is received at any time.

CGW Examination - The examination fee (if purchased separately) will be refunded in full minus a $50 handling fee if cancelled 11 or morer business days prior to the examination date and notice is received in writing. A partial refund of 60% will be given if for written cancellations received 6 to 10 business days prior to the date of the examination for any reason. No refund is available if cancellation notice is given for any reason 5 or fewer business days prior to the date of the exam. A "no show" for the exam will not be eligible for any refund. Applicable refunds will be processed within 5 business days.

Rescheduling Fees effective April 1, 2011

Grant Researching and Proposal Writing Workshop (4-day in person workshop)  There is a $100 rescheduling fee to reschedule from one date/location to a different date/location.  The request to reschedule must be in writing by email or mail and received by American Grant Writers' Association no later than 11 business days prior to the first day of the workshop.  Workshops may not be rescheduled 10 or fewer business days prior to the first day of the workshop.  The rescheduling fee is nonrefundable.

Certified Grant Writer Review Course (1-day in person workshop)  There is a $25 rescheduling fee to reschedule from one date/location to a different date/location.  The request to reschedule must be in writing by email or mail and received by American Grant Writers' Association no later than 11 business days prior to the workshop.  The workshop is not eligible to be rescheduled 10 or fewer business days prior to the workshop.  The rescheduling fee is nonrefundable.

Certified Grant Writer Exam (1-day examination)  There is a $25 rescheduling fee to reschedule from one date/location to a different date/location.  The request to reschedule must be in writing by email or mail and received by American Grant Writers' Association no later than 11 business days prior to the exam.  The exam may not be rescheduled 10 or fewer business days prior to the exam.  The rescheduling fee is nonrefundable.

BUSINESS DAYS are defined as weekdays that are not Federal Holidays.
